Jeanie Marie Buss, an American businesswoman. she is the current president and owner-controller of the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Buss, a Californian native was raised with an impressive life. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty tycoon before becoming the owner of the Lakers. Their relationship ended in 1972, which caused her to feel emotionally neglected. At the age 19 she became the general manager for the Los Angeles Strings, a professional tennis club. Later, she founded the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. Prior to becoming vice-president of the Lakers in 2013, she was president of the Great Western Forum. Her father died in 2013 and his controlling control for the Lakers was transferred to Buss and her five siblings through a family trust with each sibling having an equal vote. Buss assumed the position as president of Los Angeles Lakers. Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also co-owner in Women of Wrestling a pro-wrestling organization based within Los Angeles.
